很多人以為這只是感冒或被誤導以為死亡率很低，其實很多人康復後肺功能都只少失去20%。更多人以為這只是老年人或亞洲人有機會患上，大家都需要告訴他們是任何人都會患上的。

What I’ve been saying since early on: the idea is really not about getting it, although that’s still important; the idea is more like, if no one passes it on, no one gets it.
We protect each other, get what I mean? YOU WEAR THE MASK FOR OTHERS.
Especially relevant when a disease has a long asymptomatic phase and many mild cases which might be mistaken or unreported.
Check the table on which countries encouraged mask wearing; what do they have in common now?
If it doesn’t get passed on, less overall transmission, R0 declines = you get less than 1 transmission per infected person ➡️ virus contained.
Destigmatize mask-wearing, please.
It’s not just a self-protection move; it’s actually an epidemiological strategy to reduce overall exposure among the herd.
